Up for sale is this 2011 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Coupe, finished in Jet Stream Blue over a Grey and black interior, powered by a 6.2 liter LS3 V8 running through a six-speed automatic transmission, with 18,492 miles on the clock.
The C6 generation of Corvette, produced from 2005 to 2013, was another direct shot at its foreign competitors. With a multitude of engine options and available in both coupe and convertible, there was a flavor suitable for everyone, from a comfy quick boulevard roadster to the track focused LS7 equipped Z06, to the 630hp supercharged ZR1, also known as the Blue Devil.
The example here is the Grand Sport trim line, a performance-oriented package a step up from a base Corvette. It features revised shocks and stiffer springs, larger anti-sway bars, bigger wheels made of forged aluminum in 18” front and 19” rear sizes, with 6-piston front brakes, a shorter final-drive ration for better acceleration, bigger spoilers, and front and rear brake ducts for better cooling during hard use.
This example, with only 18,492 miles, is a well-kept example, with all the trimmings necessary to make it a good fun day or fun car on a winding road.
The Jetstream blue finish of this Corvette is in excellent condition. The steeply sloped front nose is in excellent condition, with no stone chips or pitting from road debris. The polycarbonate headlight covers are clear and free from fade or yellow haze. In the back, there is no visible defect, with clear lenses, and the four polished center-exit exhausts looking brand new Both driver and passenger side flanks are clean and free from chips or cuts, and all badges are in excellent shape.
The forged aluminum wheels, with a clear polished finish, are in excellent shape and free from curb rash or nicks.
The grey and black interior of the Grand Sport is in like new condition. Both seats are clean and free from wear or damage to the side bolsters. All touch points, including armrests, steering wheel and shifter, are clean and devoid of damage or wear. The dash and instrument panel are clean, and everything functions properly.
The 6.2 liter V8 has 430hp, and runs through the six speed automatic. The engine in the automatic Grand Sports has a wet sump oil system, unlike the dry sump example in the manual transmission cars, and this example is in perfect condition. The one upgrade from stock is the installation of a Borla cat-back stainless steel exhaust system, visible in the undercarriage photos. The chassis is in perfect condition, with no corrosion visible, clean and free from road grime.
