SEASIDE PARK, NEW JERSEY
This is a 2000 Ford F-150 Step-Side SuperCab pickup, with the Harley Davidson Trim package. This is an exceptionally clean example of a popular limited-run edition. Representing the first model year of the Ford and Harley Davidson collaboration, this example has only 16,140 miles at the time of this writing. An amazing clean stock example of this rare trim.
The F-150 Harley edition differs from a standard F-150 with black trim, an open grill with matte aluminum horizontal slats, and Harley-Davidson Edition badges on the fenders and tailgate. The bed is the Step-Side style, and this first year for the HD edition is the only year this style was produced. This truck is equipped with the tow package, and the bed has a liner with the Harley Davidson logo at the back of the bed. The body is in like-new condition, with no dings or dents, and no stone chips on the nose. The wheels are the factory H-D edition split five-spoke wheels in a 20” size, chromed from the factory, and come with Good Year Eagle GT tires in the correct 275/45-20 size at all four corners.
The interior is in excellent shape, as one would expect, with minimal wear on the leather seats and touch surfaces. Everything here is stock, except for the addition of carbon fiber trim on the dash, a popular addition at the time to spruce up the interior.
This vehicle has the stock equipment, starting with Ford’s 5.4 liter V8, with 260 HP and 350 ft/pounds of torque, and the four speed automatic transmission. For the Harley Davidson package, the vehicle came only with rear wheel drive, and the 3.55 rear axle with a limited slip differential. For more performance, Ford installed a more free-flowing exhaust, borrowed from the Lightning edition. In addition, the Lightning’s stiffer shocks and sport springs, lower by an inch from the standard setup, were also included.
The truck spent it’s life in northern New Jersey and was only used sparingly, stored in the winter, and it shows. Mechanically it is in excellent condition, and needs nothing to be used on a daily basis. Trucks like these were a Ford specialty, and it’s hard to find a first-year example of this vehicle in this kind of condition. Clearly a niche vehicle, it’s still a great addition for any Harley enthusiast, and except for the carbon fiber interior trim, is presented exactly as the truck was
specced from the factory. This is not an easy vehicle to find at this point in this kind of shape with low mileage, and would be a great addition for any enthusiast looking for a clean, no- excuses example of this limited edition.
